Wario Land 3

Wario Land 3 is the peak of platformers on the Game Boy Color. Released in 2000, it is still considered one of the best games on the console.

The story begins when Wario's plane crashes in a forest. Exploring a cave, he finds a mysterious music box and is pulled inside it. To get out, the greedy anti-hero has to help a mysterious being and collect the music boxes hidden around the world.

Wario cannot die: when enemies hit him, he transforms instead, for example into a fat, flaming or frozen Wario, and each transformation lets him reach new places. The world changes between day and night, and new abilities open old levels in new ways. Clever design makes Wario Land 3 a true classic.
