Super Mario World

Super Mario World is a classic platformer developed by Nintendo and first released in 1990 for the Super Nintendo (SNES). It became one of the most successful games on the console and earned outstanding reviews from critics and players.

Mario has to rescue Princess Peach from the evil Bowser, who is holding her in his castle. To reach her, Mario travels across Dinosaur Land, collecting coins and power-ups and defeating enemies along the way. This is also the game that introduced Yoshi, the friendly dinosaur Mario can ride, who swallows enemies and gains their powers.

The gameplay is classic Mario: jumping from platform to platform, finding items and overcoming obstacles. Many levels hide secret exits that open new routes and bonus stages, and the new cape lets Mario fly and glide. The bright graphics and cheerful music still make it a joy to play today.
