Shantae

Shantae is one of the most outstanding and technically impressive platformers on the Game Boy Color and has become a cult hit. It was developed by WayForward and released by Capcom in 2002.

Shantae, a half-genie, protects Scuttle Town from the pirate Risky Boots, who has stolen a steam engine to build a powerful weapon. Shantae attacks with her hair like a whip and learns belly dances that transform her into animals such as a monkey, an elephant and a spider, which help her reach new places.

The game is a metroidvania with a large world, day and night, and beautiful animation. It is one of the best games on the console.
