Kirby's Block Ball

Kirby's Block Ball is HAL Laboratory's original take on the classic block-breaking genre, released for the Game Boy in 1995.

Kirby himself is the ball. You control paddles on the sides of the screen to bounce him into blocks and break them. Kirby can gain copy abilities, such as fire or stone, which change how he breaks blocks.

Each level ends with a boss, and there are bonus games between stages. It is a charming twist on Breakout.
