Pokemon Crystal Version (Russian version)

Pokemon Crystal Version is the final and most polished game of the second Pokemon generation, released for the Game Boy Color in 2001. An enhanced version of Pokemon Gold and Silver, it set several traditions that became standard for the whole series. On this site it is a Russian fan translation, so the in-game text is in Russian.

For the first time you could choose your character's gender and play as a girl named Kris. Pokemon also got animated sprites in battle, which made fights more lively. The story gained its own line centred on the legendary Suicune, which leads you through special events instead of just appearing at random.

The Johto region offers eight Gym Badges, a real-time day and night cycle and 251 Pokemon to collect, and after the credits you can travel to the classic Kanto region as well. The Battle Tower adds a competitive challenge. For many fans, Crystal is the best way to experience this generation.
