A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia is one of the most original and warm-hearted platformers for the NES (Dendy), released in 1990. A boy and his friend Blob, an alien, set out to save Blob's planet from an evil emperor. When you feed Blob different flavors of jelly beans, he turns into useful objects: a ladder, a trampoline, an umbrella, a hole and more. It is a clever puzzle platformer.
Pajama Hero Nemo, known in the West as Little Nemo: The Dream Master, is a platformer from Capcom for the NES (Dendy), based on the classic comic strip. The boy Nemo travels through the dream world of Slumberland, feeding candy to animals so they help him: a frog jumps high, a mole digs, a lizard climbs walls. He has to find keys in each level to move on. It is a charming and clever platformer.
Mega Man III: The Rise and Fall of Dr. Wily is another fan-made ROM hack based on Mega Man 3 for the NES (Dendy). The name hints at the story of the main villain of the series, Dr. Wily, which is traced through the design of the levels. The mechanics are taken entirely from the original, but the layout of enemies and platforms is noticeably different. It is a challenge for fans of the series.
All Hallows Eve is a homebrew platformer for the NES (Dendy) in the spirit of Halloween, created by an independent developer. You travel through spooky levels full of ghosts, pumpkins and other Halloween creatures, jumping across platforms and fighting enemies. It is a fun find for fans of new games on old consoles.
