Adventure Island 3

Adventure Island 3 is the third game in the cult platformer series from Hudson Soft, released for the NES (Dendy) in 1992 and one of the best in the line.

Master Higgins is out of luck again: his girlfriend Tina has been kidnapped, and this time the culprits are aliens. Off he goes to rescue her, travelling through jungles, caves, icy mountains and underwater depths.

Old foes such as spiders, birds and snakes are waiting for him, along with new enemies. Higgins can again ride dinosaurs, each with special abilities, and this time there is a new one, a triceratops that charges through anything in its way. As always, keep eating fruit to refill your energy and use stone axes and boomerangs to defend yourself.

Adventure Island 3 does not change much compared with the earlier parts, and that is a good thing. It is the same fun and challenging platformer that fans love.
