Adventure Island 2

Adventure Island II is one of the most loved platformers on the NES (Dendy) and the sequel to the cult first game. Master Higgins, the chubby hero in a cap, once again sets out to rescue his girlfriend Tina from an evil sorcerer.

This time the adventure spans eight islands, from tropical jungles to ice caves and underwater depths. The game is much richer than the first part. The main new feature is the dinosaur companions: Higgins can find eggs with different dinosaurs and ride them, each with its own abilities. One breathes fire, another swims, and another can fly.

As before, Higgins has to keep eating fruit, because his energy meter constantly drains. Throw stone axes at snails, spiders, birds and other creatures that want to stop you, and defeat a boss at the end of every island. Many players consider this the best game in the Adventure Island series.
