Road Fighter

Road Fighter is a racing game that many remember from playing the NES (Dendy) in the 1990s. Konami released it in arcades in 1984, and it came to the NES a year later. Despite its simplicity, it won the hearts of many players around the world.

You drive a sports car and race along a vertical scrolling road towards the finish line. On the way there are other cars, trucks and obstacles to avoid. Some cars swerve into your lane, and a collision sends you spinning.

The main problem is fuel: it constantly runs out, and you can refill it by picking up special cars. If the tank runs dry, the game is over. Each stage has a time limit, and you have to reach the checkpoint before it runs out. Simple controls and addictive gameplay keep you coming back.
