Duck Tales (Russian version)

Duck Tales is a classic platformer released for the NES (Dendy) in 1989. Developed by Capcom, it is based on the popular Disney cartoon series starring Scrooge McDuck. On this site it is a Russian fan translation, so the in-game text is in Russian.

Scrooge is famous for his greed, but he also loves adventure and treasure hunting, and that is what the game is about. You travel around the world with Scrooge in search of five legendary treasures, through the Amazon jungle, the Himalayas, Transylvania, the African Mines and even the Moon.

What makes the game stand out is Scrooge's cane: he can use it as a pogo stick to bounce on enemies and reach higher platforms, or as a golf club to hit rocks. The levels are not linear, so you can choose the order in which to visit them and look for hidden treasures. The game was a big success, got a sequel, and its Moon theme is still one of the most famous tunes on the NES.
