Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 is the sequel to the Capcom hit, released in 1993. The second game is shorter but harder, and the two-player mode is still the main reason to play it.

Story

Fat Cat has escaped and is plotting something new. The police are after him, and the Rescue Rangers are tasked with finding an ancient vase that, according to legend, holds something dangerous. Chip, Dale and their friends set off again through city streets, a factory, a ship and a castle.

What changed

• Stages are played in order, with no route choice on the map.
• Bosses are tougher and require precise crate throwing.
• New moves: you can throw your partner at enemies like a crate, which is especially useful with two players.
• The signature style remains: crates, apples, red balls and Zipper helping in fights.

Controls

• Arrow keys move
• Z A button
• X B button
• Enter Start
• Space Select

You can remap the keys in the emulator settings, and on a phone an on-screen gamepad appears.

Tips

• Crouch under a crate to hide from enemies.
• With two players one can hold a crate overhead while the other looks for a safe spot.
• If you have not played the first game, start with it: the story and characters continue from there.
