Soccer

Soccer is one of the first football games on the NES (Dendy), released by Nintendo in 1985.

Despite modest graphics and simple controls, the game offers honest sporting competition with a top-down view and teams of five field players plus a goalkeeper. You choose one of several national teams and challenge an opponent, either a friend or the computer at one of several difficulty levels.

Passes, shots and tackles are all done with two buttons, so anyone can pick it up in a minute. It is a simple but fun classic of the 8-bit era.
