Battletoads & Double Dragon

Battletoads & Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team is a 1993 beat 'em up by Rare that brings together the heroes of two famous series. The Sega Genesis version has brighter graphics and better sound than the NES one.

Story

The Dark Queen has teamed up with the Shadow Warriors gang and attacks Earth aboard the huge spaceship Colossus. Standing against them are the Battletoads, Rash, Zitz and Pimple, and the brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon.

Features

• Five heroes to choose from, each with his own moves and finishers.
• Varied stages: brawls on the ship's hull, a descent on a cable, speeder bike races and spaceship flights.
• Two-player mode: the game is much more fun together.
• The toads' signature cartoon attacks: giant fists, boots and head-butts.

Controls

The Sega gamepad layout (A, B, C and Start) is shown under the game window, and you can change it in the emulator settings. A gamepad works best, and on a phone an on-screen gamepad appears.

Tips

• With two players you can hit your partner by accident, so stay on different lines.
• In the race stage memorize the order of obstacles: emulator saves really help here.
• If you like the game, check out the NES version, it has different stages and graphics.
